I don't think it totally beats the purpose as you should still be getting the benefits of the proteins, vitamins etc. I'd stick with classic combos, though, like Rum and Vodka with fruity drinks. For protein shakes, I'd consider getting some Godiva liquer, which is a chocolate flavored alcohol. I used to drop a shot of this into my frappacinno. Awesome.
Probably something like Kahlua, or Baileys that would make it more like a milkshake. You could do a chocolate protein shake, Kahlua, and a shot of vodka and it would be like a Rattlesnake.
You can put alcohol in anything you want but it kind of defeats the purpose of putting it in a HEALTH drink. Don't you think so?
