Green bags?

Green bags?

Our grocery-store was giving out 'Green Bag' samples last week. I tried the bag on a bunch of bananas and saw no difference in the ripening. I would even say, they ripened faster and turned dark and soft over night.

Have you tried the 'Green Bags'? Is the produce (including bananas) supposed to go in the fridge, when using them? What where your results?
There are some answers for your reference as below, you can choose your best answers

I bought them and found much the same results as you! They are not worth the plastic they are made from as far as I'm concerned. I tried then on fruit on the counter AND veggies in the fridge and like you, the produce seemed to turn bad faster!

Bananas should NEVER go in the fridge. (Or in a bag). The green bags are great for carrots, lettuce, cucumbers, etc. Make sure they are dry and closed well and things keep twice as long. Plus, you can rinse and dry them and use them again.

Never used them, but Consumer Reports says they're a rip-off, and Zip-Loc bags actually work better!
