I got a hang over and need to know what to eat?
my headache went away but i'm still sick to my stomach. i've been drinking a lot and i need something to eat bad. right now i'm looking for somethign that isn't heavy and something that i can hold down. how does lipton soup with chicken broth and then i'm adding some egg noodles in it. if u got any other ideas let me know please
There are some answers for your reference as below, you can choose your best answers
I wouldn't say soup, because that often comes up, but definitely Saltine crackers or toast [with no topping]. From now on, if you can remember, before you fall asleep take two ibuprofen, drink a large glass of water, and eat a few crackers. Despite getting up and using the bathroom a few times, you'll feel great the next day. Crackers settle the stomach and soak up the acid, water dilutes the alcohol and moves it through your system, and the ibuprofen gets rid of the headache.
Miso Soup
toast or anything with bread...also include some fat like cheese
Broth is good...stay away from too much starch---I have been a bartender for 16 years, trust me!! The best thing I have found is Toast and Sprite...it make alkaseltzer in your stomach..drink lots of CLEAR liquids and light food...you will make it!! P.S. Take two ibuprophen it helps your head and tummy!!good luck!!
i like fried foods, personally. maybe try re-hydrating yourself first, get some gatorade (carbs and electrolytes). go easy on your stomach - nothing spicy!
alot of bread and clear foods like soup and gingerale
hope you feel a lil better soon
Arrowroot cookies are good for a hangover. The chicken soup is also good but not very filling. If you think you could handle a banana, that would be even better because your body needs to replace the potassium and other minerals that you drained from your body by urinating more than normal. Pop some Vitamin C too and drink lots of water and/or green tea.
Gatorade!! Replenishes all the lost electrolytes as well as the dehydration causing most of your pain.
Of course, the best solution is to not get drunk---I can't even say that with a straight face!!!
scrambled egg on toast can be quite good. or your chicken soup idea sounds ok. or a nice baked potato
tomatoes, lots and lots of tomatoes. or if you're around a real mexican restaurant, eat some menudo with a beer.
In my tradition , when a person is hung over , we usually eat menudo, with corn tortillas. Also a good soup will be caldo de ress, which is beef soup made Spanish traditional made w/ beef, potato's, celery , carrots ,tomato's, onion, cabbage and garlic and cumin . omgosh its so good. The menudo is the most bought in the valley when hung over , but I dont think it would be to your liking since its made of off trip lining of the beef cow , and pig feet - (oh my its so good ) it also has hominy in it parsley added spices. But I don't know if you would like that in your traditional culture. I know my other friends just drink a v8 . But recommendation for the hung over is also another beer .best of luck
You need some decent liquids for rehydration as much as you need food, so drink all of the broth when you have your soup, which is a good combination, BTW.
