Is it better/easier to cut meat against or with the grain?
meat as in chicken, beef, etc.

It depends on the meat and the cut of meat. If you have a tough cut of beef you are supposed to cut across or against the grain otherwise I would cut with the grain. For chicken I would cut with the grain.
cut it against the grain so people don't have to fight/chew through it at the table. Cutting against the grain helps make it easier to eat.
AGAINST.
Cutting meat against the grain helps tenderize it and makes it easier to chew.
