Please read some of the things my family has told me and tell me how I can change it.?

please don't answer till addition details is added on

I have become a pescoterian in December '07 and beginning of June became a lacto-ovo vegetarian. My family (not my parents like distant family) have said various statements about me being a vegetarian. Here are some of the things they have said and please tell me how I can stop them from saying things like this. It's weird because they don't understand and it is fusturating.

My grandma said you know you don't eat and I'm sick about it.
-I don't understand this I do eat I just don't eat meat

My aunt while talking to someone else said she doesn't eat real food
-I don't understand this either. I do eat real food are you tellikng me fruit, vegetables, rice, noodles, soup ect. arn't real foods.

same aunt asked me what I eat I said Fruits, vegetables, and for protein I said peanut butter, nuts, seeds and she cut me off and continued berrys and leaves. She said are we at the forest and started laughing.
There are some answers for your reference as below, you can choose your best answers

Ignore your grandmother, she probably most likely thinks that anything WITH meat is a "real food". Not true, I would question to her what pasta, veggies and fruit are if she thinks that's not food.

Same with your aunt, she most likely thinks meat is a good "meal" food and anything is else is not "food".

And if you're aunt is laughing at you now, I wouldn't be surprised if she all of a sudden got many diseases because of high cholesterol from meat and the like.

As for your grandfather, I dunno what doctor he goes to, but being vegetarian is quiet healthy. He should think of all the fat, cholesterol and other bad nutrients that can be avoided if you are a vegetarian (if you are a healthy vegetarian).

Stick to being vegetarian, and do not be put down from what your family says. Stay vegetarian!

Some people are like that my grandma like that wher she dont think i'm eating enough cause im not eating meat but u just have to ignore them and i hope it works out with you. who knows they might quit after a while. Good Luck!!
