Rice and 'beans'?
I was at a gathering a couple weeks ago and the host family is from Puerto Rico. Well she made this rice and beans dish. Someone said it was pigeon peas? I have never heard of that before. Anyway, this was really good rice and I wanted to ask for the recipie but left before I could get it. Does anyone know what this is and how to make it ? I thought it was really good! Oh and if it was pigeon peas, where do I find them? I couldn't find them in the grocery store when I looked.

Pigeon peas are available in Indian/Pakistani stores. In their language, they are called "toor dal". There must be an Indian store in your area. Good luck.
i dont know the recipe, but try a central or world market to get the peas
