Supermarkets in england? Is there a new law to stop you buying alcohol after 12 pm?
There are some answers for your reference as below, you can choose your best answers

Notice in Asda last evening, saying they will no longer be selling alcohol between the hours of midnight and 6am. Didn't pay much attention to it because I sleep not shop then

Im sure its 11pm

nope....you can buy alcohol 24hrs in my local tesco

It all depends on what their opening hours are, and what license they have. Lynn

What!! It's 10pm in Scotland ...... can English people seriously buy alcohol 24/7 now like?! Lol, oblivious!!!

NOPE !!!!
Depends if said supermarket applied to sell alcohol after 12 midnight.
The authorities cant refuse it anymore because there are 24 hr drinking licences given to any licensed establishment that want them but you still have to inform the local authorities that you intend staying open until certain times.
No pubs/supermarkets in my town stay open after 1230 even on Fri and Sat nights just isnt worth it as no one would be in the pubs but they can stay open if they want as long as they inform the authoritys they intend to do that same with supermarkets.

12pm is noon so there is no law that actually stops you from purchasing alcohol in the afternoon!
If you mean 12am (midnight) then the law has actually been around for a long time and it's 11pm the same as pubs.
