Fruit the same. I have nothing against fruit or vegetables and in fact I like many, but they don't always seem to be filling and I wondered why? Is it they are low calorie? And I realize that you need more than one type of food to make a meal so that is not my question.

Most veggies are filled with wonderful juice, most of that is water. So a fruit or Veggie- that is filled with water, probably won't fill you up. Try eating a couple servings of dried fruit, and feel the difference. So that is why you need beans, legumes, and other super fiber foods to make you feel full. The high protein content of these foods= more calories plus it had complex carbohydrates which is used for long lasting energy.
So if you are eating up your veggies, try eating up with whole grains like brown rice. Drink more water after you finish eating if you are eating more veggies than grains. And you can eat more meals throughout the day- keeping your metabolism and your body running strong and at it's peak.
Edit:
If you want to feel full for a long time.. make a hearty veggie soup with potato's and whole wheat pasta.
Also Lentil soup could make me full for an entire day
Maybe if you try steaming them or cooking them they will make you feel more full. They make me full when they're warm!
Fiber is what really fills you up, try adding more of it to your meals.
Because there isn't much protean in fruits and vegetables. You need beens, nuts, seeds and grains too.
yes, it is that they are low calorie, have a lot of water that gets absorbed quickly and most are not dense.
Something potatoes or legumes will leave you feeling more full as they are denser.

I think it's because they are "comfortless" foods. They are best as accompaniments to meat or fish.
Fruits and veggies give me a wonderful light feeling inside while giving me energy. Who wants to feel full? Its not good on your liver to eat till your full...
Apples always seem to satisfy me if I'm really hungry.
Beans and rice make you feel full.
