What is your favorite brand of ranch dressing?

I used to like Hidden Valley but I think they changed the recipe and now it seems pretty bad. Any suggestions on what to try next?

powdered hidden valley. In the beginning it was mixed with buttermilk. then they changed it to regular milk(not Good) You can still buy it for buttermilk, I buy the restaurant size at Smart and Final It makes a gallon, so I mix it with 1/2gal. buttermilk and freeze it in 1 cup containers thaw it and mix the 1 cup mayo.
It costs about $2.25 a packet.

i like hidden valley. i didn't notice if they changed it though because i haven't had it in a while. im in a balsamic vinaigrette or oriental dressing phase right now. i often switch around.

Maybe you just got a bad batch? I just opened a new HVR bottle tonight with dinner and it tasted like it always does - THE BEST. Couple weeks ago I thought I would go ahead and buy wishbone ranch cause it was on sale and I had a good coupon - BLAH, it was nasty. HVR is the only way to go, either the premade kind or the packet....mmmmm

Buy the original Hidden Valley Ranch, not an off- brand. I have been making it for years and I don't think it has changed at all. I live in England and it is not sold here. So whenever I go home to the U.S. I buy $30.00 worth and share it with other expats when I get back to the UK. One guy actually cried when I gave him a box as a gift! It has to be the most popular dressing of all time!

my favorite brands of ANY salad dressings are: KEN'S (several kinds of Ranch - I like peppercorn); Girard's; and Bernstein's .... Hint: When you get towards the bottom of the bottle, add a little balsamic vinegar and shake. There was a restaurant near us, who combined Ranch & balsamic vinegar, and it's really good (and extends the dressing in your bottle:)

My favorite is Hidden Valley. I just bought some and it was wonderful. Maybe you just got a bad bottle. try it again. Kraft is also good.

There is a brand at Sams Club that is called bakers and chefs. You would have to buy a gallon of it but I say its the best.
