What the hell is brewed coffee?

I'm trying to make cheese cake and that is one of the ingredients.....is it the instant mix kind that dissolves....can someone help me......what brand would you suggest?
There are some answers for your reference as below, you can choose your best answers

It is brewed when you run it through a regular coffee brewer, as opposed to a perculator. So, just make (brew) the coffee before you add it to your recipe, dont add the grounds themselves to the recipe. Folgers would be fine, or any other kind. Instant coffee - you just add hot water and stir.

They just mean that it should be liquid, not grounds. By "brewed", they just mean "pre-made".

Whether you brew it in a Mr. Coffee machine, percolate it on your stove, or microwave some instant crystals won't make any difference.

You could even just buy a cheap cup at your local coffee shop, and use that.

You don't want brewed coffee. It's a whole art-- believe me. Instant for a dessert is simple-- dump a tea spoon in a pot of boiled water. Simple. One brand isn't much different from the next. Folgers is good as instant goes.

mix in some beer
