Turnip greens with salt bacon

Turnip greens with salt bacon

1/2  lb. salt pork or bacon
2    lbs. turnip greens
1    cup boiling water

     Wash bacon and score (make a crisscross
cut through the center down to the rind).
Place in a large pot with about 1 cup boiling
water.  Cover and cook on medium heat until
meat begins to get tender.  Add the turnip
greens that have been washed 4 times.  Cover
and cook for about 30 minutes.  Serves 8.
