Corn Bread Recipes

Corn bread pie

1    lb. ground beef
2    cups water
1    onion, chopped
1    can tomato soup
1/2  tsp. pepper
1    cup diced raw potatoes
1    tsp. salt
1/2  cup chopped green pepper

     Brown meat and onion.  Add peppers.  Cook
about 3 minutes then add rest of ingredientts
and simmer 15 minutes.  Put meat mixture in
a large pan or casserole.  Pour cornbread
batter over meat.  Do not stir.  Bake in 400
degree oven for 20-25 minutes.

                    Corn bread batter

3/4  cup corn meal
1    tbsp. flour
1/2  tsp. salt
1/2  cup milk
1    tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1    egg
1    tbsp. oil

     Sift dry ingredients and add egg.  Add the
milk and oil and mix well.  Pour over meat
mixture and bake.
