Crumb Cake Recipes

 Crumb cake

1    cup brown sugar
1    cup shortening
1    tsp. nutmeg
1/2  tsp. cinnamon
1    cup white sugar
3    cups flour
1/4  tsp. cloves

     Mix these seven ingredients together until
crumb like and remove 1/2 of these crumbs to
sprinkle over top of cake evenly before placing
in oven.
     To the remaining crumbs add 2 cups sour
or buttermilk and 2 teaspoons soda.  Mix well
and pour into a 13 1/2x9 1/2 inch greased pan.
Bake in 350 degree oven for 30-45 minutes.
