Marble Cheese Brownies Recipes

It's kind of Bar Cookies. The texture is moister than cookies and denser than cakes. Cookies are baked in shallow pan, with or without sweet pastry. You can add chocolate bits,nuts,desiccated coconut,dried fruit,fresh fruit for even canned fruit. After baked and cooled completely, top with icing sugar or ganache and cut into square or rectangular,big or small pieces.

 

Ingredients

Chocolate batter:

(A) 150g chocolate, 80g butter

(B) 120g sugar, pinch of salt, 3 eggs, 1 tsp vanilla essence

(C) 120g flour, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 80g chopped walnuts

Plain batter:

(A) 200g cream cheese, 40g butter, 75g sugar

(B) 2 eggs, 2 tbsp milk

(C) 30g cornflour

Directions

Chocolate batter:

1.Grease and line at 31cm X 22cm Swiss Roll pan wih greaseproof paper and grease the paper.

2.Melt (A) over simmering water and let it cool.

3.Add in (B) and mix till well blended. Then add in (C). Mix till well combined. Pour 2/3 of the batter into the pan.

Plain batter:

1.Cream (A) till light, then add in (B) and cream till smooth. Lastly add in (C) and mix till well incorporated. Pour it into the chocolate batter.

2.Spoon the remaining chocolate batter onto the plain batter . Swirl the mixture to marble.

3.Place it at the bottom rack of the oven. Bake at 180 degree for 35~40 minutes .

4.Cut it into bars when cool.

Tips

To have stronger cheese taste, skip the butter and add cream cheese up to 250g.
