Gooey No Bake Cookies
Source: Editor: Read:
Why no bake cookies didn't turn out right? They won't "set". They stay gooey.
Answer:
You're not boiling the mixture long enough. It usually takes 3 - 5 minutes to get it to the "soft ball" stage. Test the mixture by dropping a 1/2 teaspoon or so into ice cold water. If you can form a ball with your fingers, it's ready to take off the heat. If not, boil another minute or so.
