 Southern peanut butter pie

1    cup light or dark corn syrup
1    cup sugar
3    eggs
1/2  tsp. vanilla
1/3  cup chunk style peanut butter
1    9 inch unbaked pastry shell
1    cup whipping cream

     Combine corn syrup, sugar, eggs, vanilla
and peanut butter mixing until well blended.
Pour into pastry shell.  bake at 400 degrees for
15 minutes then reduce heat to 350 degrees and
bake for 30-35 minutes longer.  Filling should
appear slightly less set in center.  Chill and
top with whipped cream.
