Peanut Butter Eggs Recipes

***************

3 oz. cream cheese
1 stick butter
28 oz. creamy peanut butter
1 lb. confectioners' sugar
12 oz. chocolate chips, melted

Cream butter and cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually add confectioners'
sugar and peanut butter, alternating.

Shape mixture into egg shapes about 1 1/2 to 2 inches long.

Dip in melted chocolate chips and cool on waxed paper.

***************

1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup peanut butter
2 cups rice krispies
2 T vegetable oil
chocolate chips

Mix sugar, peanut butter, rice krispies and oil together. Form into eggs.

Freeze for a couple of hours.

Melt chocolate with paraffin if you have some and dip the eggs.

****************

1 cup butter or margarine
8 ounces cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 pounds powdered sugar
2-1/4 cups chunky peanut butter

Cream margarine and cream cheese; add salt, vanilla, powdered sugar, and
peanut butter; mix thoroughly. Roll into small eggs or balls.

Place on cookie sheet on waxed paper and freeze about 2 hours.

For chocolate, use chocolate chips and a small bar of parafin or chocolate coating
melted on top of double boiler. After 2 hours remove peanut butter eggs from freezer
and dip in melted chocolate. Place on wax paper to cool. Makes 12 dozen eggs.

***************

1 (16 ounce) package confectioners' sugar
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1 tablespoon milk
8 (1 ounce) squares semi-sweet chocolate
1 tablespoon shortening

In a mixing bowl, combine confectioners' sugar, peanut butter, butter and milk (if needed
for moisture) until blended.

Shape mixture into two 1/2 pound eggs or make a bunch of smaller eggs. Freeze eggs for 1 hour.

While the eggs are freezing, cut semi-sweet chocolate into small pieces and place in top of double
boiler with shortening. Melt over medium heat, stirring frequently until smooth.

Stick a long-tined fork in top of each peanut butter egg, dip it in melted chocolate to cover then drain
on waxed paper. When the eggs are cooled and set, decorate the eggs to suit your fancy.
